Enjoy a holistic experience in an unbeatable environment!

From the tree to the furniture is a dynamic workshop that values antique furniture as a document of history and humanity and ends with an important reflection on the durability of these precious pieces of wood.

Through this experience you will learn to recognize the species of trees in the Gardens of the Pla i Armengol Foundation while looking at the type of wood they provide us and becoming aware of how they can be used responsibly.

The activity takes place in 2 different spaces, first in the Jardins del Doctor Pla and Armengol, and then, to Ramon Pla i Armengol Museum. In the course of the session you will learn: how forests should be cared for, how they should be repopulated when they burn, how trees should be planted, what uses and applications their woods have, what techniques are used to treat them and how heritage furniture differs from salvaged furniture.

It is a holistic and transformative experience that highlights the culture of furniture made of wood and that leaves no one indifferent! Are you up for it?
