Responsible fishing on board a Menorcan yacht. Will you miss it?

This experience begins with a guided visit (1 hour) at the Fishermen’s Guild of Barcelona, ​​where you will learn the dynamics of the market and the different fishing techniques used to make the catches. Subsequently, you will enjoy a sailor’s lunch in the net patio to taste authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

After the meal, you will sail the waters off the coast of Barcelona on a Menorcan yacht and experience, first hand, the thrill of fishing. Participants will be accompanied at all times by a professional instructor who will teach you the techniques of responsible fishing.

This activity includes: access and guide to the Confraternity, a lunch (with 3 starters, fideuà, bread, dessert, water, wine and coffee),and 3 hours of fishing experience with a monitor and all the necessary materials. If you prefer, you can also opt for the“reduced” option (4h trip on a Menorcan yacht).

Experience leader:

Anna , a marine biologist specialized in fishing, will accompany you during the experience. Its mission is to bring the marine environment closer to all people in order to ensure that they can enjoy it responsibly and with a “well-awakened conscience”. Through his work, he wants to publicize marine products and the profession of fishermen with the purpose of highlighting the maritime culture of Barcelona, a city that has always been oriented towards the sea.

In a scenario as globalized, complex and worrisome as the one we are living in, I feel obliged to contribute my bit: to promote an investment in the trend for a responsible consumption of marine resources.
